Argentina post issued a postage stamp to mark 2011 as The International Year of Forests. The stamp shows a relation between trees and mankind. Synthesis of a tree whose shade is the recreation of the logo of the International Year of Forests. The icons that make up the foliage and trunk represent the diversity that is vital for the provision of goods and services, tangible and intangible.
The presence of man points to his role in the care of the forest.
All these elements reinforce the concept that forests are vital to the survival and welfare of people, food and medicine production, preservation of plant and animal species, regulation of water basins and the balance of climate and In short, the whole environment.
